SUMMARY:Lung Cancer Update for Primary Care: Prevention\, Screening\, Staging\, and Management
DESCRIPTION:The lung cancer update for primary care will be held at 3 different locations in NC in 2019. Lung Cancer is one the leading causes of death in NC and more effective strategies are now available in all aspects of lung cancer. Primary care physicians are key providers in the prevention and screening of lung cancer. They are the principal providers to refer at-risk patients for lung cancer screening using low-dose computed tomography. SUMMARY:NC Thoracic Society Clinical Trials Workshop Sept 21 Wrightsville Beach
DESCRIPTION:This workshop is designed to better inform clinical researchers about implementing and conducting clinical trials for lung diseases in different settings. In the morning session\, pharmaceutical industry\, a granting agency\, academic clinical trials administrator\, and a CRO will provide brief presentations of their perspectives; followed by a panel discussion.
